Asus on 17th April had collaborated with Flipkart and signed an MOU for 3 years and under this program launched it's first device the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 today i.e 23rd April in India. The main highlights of this device are latest 18:9 aspect ratio display, Snapdragon 636 processor, masssive 5,000mAh battery, face unlock and other features. Considering the price point then this Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be a direct competitor to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro especially in India.
Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Specifications
Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 has a big 5.99-inch FullHD+(1080*2160 pixels) IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio display. It runs on Android Oreo 8.1 and Asus is not using ZenUI instead using stock Android, and company promised Android P and Android Q updates. It has a proper dual nano SIM card and a micro SD card slot which can expand upto 2TB.
The phone is powered by snapdragon 636 processor which is the same in Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro and Adreno 509 GPU. Coming to camera department the rear is a dual camera setup with 13MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP camera acts as a depth sensor for Bokeh effect. The front is a 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture and has 85.5° wide angle view. Both the front and rear cameras comes with soft LED flash.
The phone is available in 3/4/6 GB RAM and 32/64 GB internal storage variants. The main feature of this phone is battery which has a massive 5,000mAh capacity with 10W charger. Connectivity wise it has 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n with WiFi direct, GPS, GLONASS, micro USB port, FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack. It has sensors like fingerprint sensor, xyroscope sensor, magnetometer sensor, light sensor, compass and others. This device will be available in midnight black and grey color options.
Launch offers provided
Asus parterned with Flipkart and has bought Complete Mobile Protection offer which will cover damages like broken screens, liquid damage, software or hardware faults and some others at just RS.49 for a year. This handset will be available with no-cost EMI via credit cards and Bajaj finserv. Some offers related to mobile data in different prices are provided by Vodafone.
Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 availability and price
Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be available in India exclusively through Flipkart from May 3rd 2018. The global availability of this device will be also on the same day. The 3GB RAM+ 32GB internal storage is priced at RS.10,999 while 4GB RAM+ 64GB internal storage is priced at RS.12,999. Asus had also said that they will also launch a variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and a slight rear camera change with 16MP + 5MP camera, remaining specifications will be the same. This will be priced at RS.14,999. But they have not given any release date and just said it will "coming soon".
