Xiaomi had launched a new phone in Indian market today in an event and it is Xiaomi Mi A2. Mi A2 is the successor to Xiaomi Mi A1 which was launched in September 2017. Today they have launched Mi A2 and it is higher than Redmi Note 5 pro. Mi A2 comes with Snapdragon 660 chipset, dual rear cameras, fast charging and other lots of features. Mi A2 Specifications

Mi A2 comes with 5.99-inch FullHD+ IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio screen. It has 84% screen to body ratio. This is a dual SIM card device with no expandable storage for MicroSD card. Mi A2 is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core 2.2Ghz Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 GPU and has 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB storage options. This phone comes in black, gold, lake blue, rose gold color options.

Mi A2 is coming with Android Oreo 8.1 OS out of the box and it comes under Android One Program, which Xiaomi collaborated with Google to provide pure Android experience instead of MIUI. Mi A2 comes under Android One Program which means we will get monthly security updates and 2 major OS updates for 2 guranteed years.

Coming to camera department the rear is a dual camera setup with the first is a 12MP sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 1.25 microns pixel size and the second one is a 20MP sensor with same f/1.75 aperture and 1 micron pixel size for better low light photography and comes with led flash light, these cameras also have AI features and portrait shots and other features. The front is a 20MP selfie shooter with f/1.75 aperture and led light and has Bokeh effect using software.

Connectivity wise it has dual 4G VOLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB type-C port, dual band WiFi 802.11ac and others. Mi A2 has all required sensors like light, compass, gyroscope, fingerprint scanner and others. But this phone does not have 3.5mm headphone jack which is a total disappoint for A1 fans. This phone is powered by 3,010mAh battery with fast charging support using Qualcomm's quick charge 3.0.

Mi A2 Pricing and Availability

Mi A2 comes in two variants with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and is priced for RS.16,999, but the other variant that is 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version will be released in the future and there is no details of pricing and availability for this variant. Preorders for Mi A2 will start from August 9th through Amazon and Mi.com and will be available to these people who pre-ordered from August 12th. Nextly open sale will be starting from August 16th onwards.
