Xiaomi launched the latest Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus in Malaysia. The budget devices were launched in China in December 2018. In Malaysia, the redmi 5 is available at RM 679 (RS 11,200 approx) in gold color option. Xiaomi Redmi 4 plus is priced at RM 749 (RS 12,360 approx) and is available in blue, black and gold color options.
Both the mobiles are coming with MIUI9. The common points in both these mobiles are the rear camera is a 12MP shooter with f2.2 aperture and the front selfie camera is a 5MP shooter with f2.2 aperture. Both have a fingerprint scanner at the back.
Xiaomi redmi 5 comes with a 5.7 inch HD+ screen which has a resolution of 1440 x 720 and has 282 ppi. Display is a bezelless display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by 1.8 GHz snapdragon 450 soc with adreno 506 GPU. It comes in 2 variants while one is 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM and while the other is 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM. The battery is packed at 3300Mah capacity.
Xiaomi redmi 5 plus comes with a 5.99 inch FHD+ screen which has a resolution of 2160 x 1080 and has 2403 ppi. Display is a bezelless display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by 2.0 GHz snapdragon 625 soc with adreno 506 GPU. It comes in 2 variants while one is 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and while the other is 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM. The battery is packed at 4000Mah capacity.
