Samsung is going to launch it's 2018 flagship mobiles the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) event 2018 at Barcelona. It is the most awaited mobile in the event as it features at a lot of features and the successor to the Galaxy S8 and S8 plus. There are a ton of leaks regarding these phones everyday as the event is approaching. And we got almost all the specifications and features of this device. So lets know all the details we know. 

These devices had the design similar to Galaxy S8 series with metal and glass design like in the Galaxy S7, S8 and Note8 design and the curved display and Samsung will introduce Dex Pad for this device which we can get desktop like experience from the phone.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus display and design

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus mobiles follow the same glass and metal design similar to Galaxy S8 series. They will also have dual curved screens to the sides. The phones will have the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio display and the sides will be bezelless and the top and bottom will have thin bezels like in the previous S8 series. The Samsung Galaxy S9 will sport a 5.8-inch infinity display while the Galaxy S9 plus will come with a 6.2-inch infinity display and both come with QHD+ resolution with Super AMOLED screens. Like the Galaxy S8 series these S9 series phone also will not not have physical home button as they have bezelless screens.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus processor, storage and RAM

Both the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus will be powered by Samsung Exynos 9810 processor which is Samsung's flagship processor in India and some other countries. However in US market it may be release with Qualcomm's flagship snapdragon 845 processor. According to some leaks both S9 and S9 plus will be coming in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. These will have a 64GB internal storage and can be expanded upto 400GB using MicroSD card compared to previous 256GB with Galaxy S8 series. It is also said that Samsung is planning to support upto 512GB storage. In terms of performance the Galaxy S9 series have got a very good score but it is still less compared to the scores of Apple's iPhone 8 mobile's scores. But scores of S9 series will be the highest in current android mobiles.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus camera and battery details

Samsung is implementing good cameras in these Galaxy S series mobiles. It is said that the Galaxy S9 will be having single camera at the back while the S9 plus sports a dual camera support at the back.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 will have a 12MP rear camera with dual variable aperture as f/1.5 and f/2.4 for better low light performance. While the Galaxy S9 plus will come with dual camera 12MP+12MP in which one will have that dual varaivle aperture support. Both these devices will have an 8MP selfie camera. Rear cameras of both these devices can record videos at 960fps. A new feature like in iPhone X like animoji function is also going to come in this phones.
Like in the Galaxy S8 series these will also have the same battery capacity. The Samsung Galaxy S9 will have 3,000mAh battery while the Samsung Galaxy S9 plus will have 3,500mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus software and other features and price

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus will run on Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box with Samsung's TouchWiz interface on the top. It will also introduce new features in it's own voice assistant Bixby. 3D style Animoji feature is also going to get launched. The face recognition feature used for face unlock will also get improcement.

The device will be launched at the MWC 2018 event on 25th February and the price details will be revealed in the event. The previous Galaxy S8 and S8 plus are priced at RS.57,900 and RS.64,900 respectively. So Samsung will price the S9 and S9 plus phones a litter higher than the previous models and the indian price will be fixed based on international market prices. The sale is expected to start on March so let us hope the India launch will be in April this year.
