Honor 8X

Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei had launched a new phone in India called Honor 8X which is already launched a month ago in China. Honor 8X will be a successor to last year's Honor 7X and it packs premium device at a budget pricing. Key highlights of the device are massive 6.5-inch display, dual cameras at both front and rear, Kirin 710 processor, premium glass body and other features. Honor 8X Specifications

Honor 8X comes with 6.5-inch FullHD+ IPS LCD display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio screen with a notch at the top of screen and has a 397ppi quality. Honor says the screen compromise of 90% screen to body ratio. It comes with dual SIM card slot and has dedicated MicroSD card slot which can be used for expanding storage upto 400GB. Honor 8X runs on Android Oreo 8.1 with custom UI called EMUI 8.2 on top of it.

Honor 8X is powered by Huawei's octa-core HiSiliccon Kirin 710 chipset with Mali G51 GPU and is said to be far better than Kirin 659 chipset, and the processor is coupled with 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage. Honor 8X comes in black, blue and red color options. Honor 8X also comes with full glass body design and 15 layers of Aurora glass.

Coming to camera department of Honor 8X, the rear is a dual camera setup with the first is a 20MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and has PDAF, led flash light, the second is a 2MP depth sensor for Bokeh shots. The front is also a dual camera setup with the first is a 16MP sensor and the second is a 2MP depth sensor for Bokeh shots. Both front and back cameras have features like portrait mode, HDR, AR stickers, super night scene, some AI features like scanning objects using camera and searching online, AI super slow motion, super shots and AI scene recognition features.

Connectivity wise it has dual 4G VOLTE, dual band WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth, FM radio, GLONASS, 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB port and others. Honor 8X has all required sensors like fingerprint, ambient light, gravity, gyroscope, compass and other sensors. Honor 8X comes with 3,750mAh battery with 10W charger.

Honor 8X will be coming in three variants. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced for RS.14,999, the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage unit is priced for RS.16,999, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage unit is priced for RS.18,999. Honor 8X is an Amazon exclusive device and will be available for sale through Amazon.in from October 22nd.
