Xiaomi launched a new phone in India with a new sub-brand called 'Poco'. The phone is called Poco F1 and Xiaomi announced Poco brand to launch a high end device at an affordable price tag to give fast performance to users at low price point. Poco F1 will be give direct competition to OnePlus 6 and Asus Zenfone 5Z. Poco F1 comes with 6.18-inch FullHD+ IPS LCD display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio screen and has a notch which houses selfie camera, IR face unlock sensor and speaker and screenhas a brightness of 500 nits, and Poco F1 is protected by Corning gorilla glass 3. Poco F1 has a hybrid sim slot with either 2 sim options or a sim and MicroSD card slot which can be expanded upto 256 GB. Poco F1 comes in Graphite Black, Steel Blue, Rosso Red and a special Armoured Edition with rubburished Kevlar back. The back of the phone is a plastic polycarbonate body instead of metal or glass design and the sides consists of metal frame.

The Poco F1 is running on Android Oreo 8.1 with MIUI 9.6 UI on top of it and Xiaomi has some changes in UI for Poco F1 to make it look a little different from others Xiaomi phones like they have a Launcher called Poco launcher which Xiaomi phones doesn't have one. Apart from launcher remaining features look almost the same.

Next Poco F1 is coming with Qualcomm's flagship octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU which it can handle heavy graphical games with no lags and is coupled with either 6/8 GB RAM and has 64/128/256 GB storage options. Coming to camera department of Poco F1 the rear is a dual camera setup with the first is a 12MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture with 1.4 micron pixel size and the second is a 5MP sensor for depth sensing to take Bokeh effect and has an led flash light, dual pixel auto focus, has features like AI, portrait, HDR and others. Coming to the front camera it is a 20MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and has pixel binning support used to take better low light photography, AI beauty and others.

The 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage model is priced for RS.20,999 where the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage is priced for RS.23,999 and nextly the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model is priced for RS.28,999. There is a special edition Poco F1 called the 'Armoured Edition' which comes with Kevlar back and has same 8GB + 256GB ROM and priced for RS.29,999.
