Realme 2 launched in India with notch display, fingerprint sensor, dual cameras : Specifications and Details

Realme which is previously a sub-brand to Oppo has come out and established as an independent one. Now they have launched new Realme 2 device in India at an event in Delhi which is successor to previous Realme 1. Realme had made several changes in this second generation model compared to last one like adding fingerprint sensor, a notch at top of screen, dual rear cameras and bigger battery. Disappoint is that they even changed the processor from Helio P60 to Snapdragon 450 which means Realme 2 is degraded in processor department. Let us check all details of Realme 2 below.

Realme 2 comes with 6.2-inch HD+(720*1520 pixels) panel with 19:9 aspect ratio screen and had a notch on top of screen. Coming to OS Realme 2 runs on Android Oreo 8.1 OS with custom UI called ColorOS 5.1 on top of it. Realme 2 has dual nano SIM card and dedicated MicroSD card slot which can be used for expanding storage upto 256GB. Realme 2 will come in Diamond Red, Diamond Blue and Diamong Black color options.

Realme 2 comes with Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset with Adreno 506 GPU. But Realme did a mistake here in processor department as the Realme 1 consists of MediaTek Helio P60 processor which is equivalent to Snapdragon 636. This is the major drawback in Realme 2 when compared to previous Realme 1.

Coming to camera department Realme 2 comes with dual camera setup at the rear with first is a 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and the second is a 2MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture used for depth sensing for Bokeh effects. The front consists of 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 85-degree wide angle lens.

Connectivity wise it has dual 4G VOLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB port. Realme 2 has all required sensors like fingerprint sensor, ambient light, gyroscope and other sensors. Coming to battery it is having 4,230mAh battery capacity and is bundled with 10W charger.

Realme 2 Pricing and Availability

Realme 2 will come in 2 variants and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is priced for RS.8,990 and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is priced RS.10,990. Realme 2 will be an Flipkart exclusive device and will be available from September 4th through Flipkart.
