Sony Xperia XZ2 leaked images and specifications before the launch in MWC event

Sony had launched the XZ series last year and they are the premium devices from Sony. Now after release of XZ Sony had said that from the next year they will completely change the design launguage of their premium phones. Now the leaked images if upcoming Sony Xperia XZ2 shows the new design language as the previous phones looked flat. We can see how Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 compact are going to be look like.

The two phones from XZ2 series will be the first from Sony to be powered by snapdragon 845 processor and will be the first to sport a display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Particularly the Xperia XZ2 will have a display of 5.7-inch Full HD+ resolution with 1080p+ pixels as the compact will sport a little smaller display.

The next update will be in camera department in the XZ2 as the rear camera aperture will be of f/1.8 aperture compared to previous f/2.0 aperture. And can also record slow motion videos with 960fps at 1080p resolution compared to previous 720p resolution quality.

The other notable feature is that the fingerprint scanner is moved to the back of the phone under the rear camera and it seems Sony had omitted the 3.5mm headphone jack. The battery of both XZ2 and XZ2 compact will be at 3,180mAh and 2,870mAh capacity respectively.

While the hardware is same in both the devices there are some features where both these different. They are the XZ2 will have glossy back finish whereas XZ2 compact has matte finish. The XZ2 will have wireless charging as it is gloss finish and stereo speaker support while XZ2 compact does not have both of these features. Information regarding IP resistant proofing is not yet revealed.

The Sony mobiles are to be revealed in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) event 2018 on 26th February i.e on Monday.
